Volunteers needed for our August and September tests We are in need of bird planters, gunners, field marshals, etc for our tests on August 28, 29, 30 and September 19 and 20. Training Day by Advanced Registration only on August 22nd The August 22 training day will be a mock test. Everyone, whether signed up to test or not, is welcome to participate. All segments of both the Natural Ability and Utility tests will be offered.
We still have a small number of openings in our upcoming August and September Utility and Natural Ability tests. If you are interested in registering, please visit out testing page for details.
Special refund policy for our September test
Given than there will be less than 28 days between our August and September tests, we will make an exception to our standard test refund policy. If your dog is registered in both August and September, you will have the option to cancel your September registration the day that you run the August test and receive a full refund. Other than this exception, standard refund rules apply.
Need Training Help
We do realize that there are many members looking for some training guidance or assistance. Please contact one of our board members and we will do our best to assist you.
NCWNAVHDA is a chapter of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association. Our chapter focuses on training and developing exceptional versatile hunting dogs. We welcome new members of all skill levels. We won't train your dog for you, but we are happy to train you to train your dog. Information on joining our chapter is avalable here.
NAVHDA is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to foster, promote, and improve the versatile hunting dog breeds in North America; to conserve game by using well trained reliable hunting dogs on both land and water; and to aid in the prevention of cruelty to animals by discouraging nonselective and uncontrolled breeding, which produces unwanted and uncared for dogs. To join our chapter you must also join NAVHDA International.
Testing and Training Grounds
General directions: The Mead Dog Training grounds are located 6.8 miles north of Junction City, WI on Cty Hwy O, just north of the Eau Pleine River bridge. The entrance to the grounds is on the west side of Cty O, and is marked by a sign. The official address is: 200684 County Road O, Rudolph, WI. Click here for a larger map.
